KDRT 95.7 FM is grassroots radio from Davis, CA, airing an eclectic mix of music and public-affairs programming. A project of nonprofit Davis Media Access, KDRT streams worldwide via KDRT.org.

Join Eddy Owt as he explores the rich genre diversity, cross-breeding, and hybridizing in the back waters and tributaries of the past 100 years of music: rock, jazz, pop, r&b, soul, country, ska, electronica, J-Pop/C-Pop/K-Pop, afrobeat, and much more.

Yolo Backyard Bulletin (YBB) seeks to address the ongoing demolition of local media by the communications/entertainment complex, which prioritizes profit maximization at the expense of local engagement and conversation. YBB features local news, commentary, music, gossip, and true stories from Yolo County, with the goal of rebuilding and restoring community communications in our public sphere, the lifeblood of democratic life.

Tune in to KDRT 95.7 FM or KDRT.org this Sunday, Oct.13, from 4 to 6:30 p.m. for a live broadcast accompanying this year's Davis Neighbors' Night Out. Your radio hosts will be program hosts Bill Buchanan (usual show Davisville) and Jim Buchanan (an original KDRT DJ who produces Live Tracks).

If you're going to one of the 116 neighborhood parties, call in to the studio while you're there for a chance to win a $50 Davis Food Co-op gift card each half-hour. Listen to the show for details. If you don't know where your neighbors are gathering, find the party near you. The weather's much better this weekend! And there are probably cool people living near you that you've never met. He's also an amazing visual artist. Alice was formerly a member of Shinyribs. Jon and Alice will be playing a few songs and talking about their work together in the Bright Shiners.
