As we enter into a time of gathering with friends and family, we are also likely to feel a growing sense of closeness to nature and an appreciation for the seasons.  This week on Celtic Songlines, I hope you feel a bit of enchantment as we listen to songs and tunes from Northern Ireland's Deantà,  The Gloaming, Northern California favorites Golden Bough, Lúnasa alumnus pipers Michael McGoldrick & John Sherry, Clannad and we finish with Sue Richards on harp.

Celtic Songlines November 9th 2021

On this week's Celtic Songlines rather that play one or two pieces from multiple artists, we'll hear a set of three consecutive tunes or songs from a smaller group of musicians. Featured this week are  Ireland's Dervish and Lúnasa (named after Lughnasadh, an ancient harvest festival), Scotland's Salt House, from Cape Brèton Natalie MacMaster and back to the Emerald Isle with fiddler Dónal O' Connor and uillean piper, John McSherry.
