KDRT 95.7 FM is grassroots radio from Davis, CA, airing an eclectic mix of music and public-affairs programming. A project of nonprofit Davis Media Access, KDRT streams worldwide via KDRT.org.

Each week, Planetary Radio visits with a scientist, engineer, project manager, astronaut, advocate or writer who provides a unique and exciting perspective on the exploration of our solar system and beyond.

Join Eddy Owt as he explores the rich genre diversity, cross-breeding, and hybridizing in the back waters and tributaries of the past 100 years of music: rock, jazz, pop, r&b, soul, country, ska, electronica, J-Pop/C-Pop/K-Pop, afrobeat, and much more.

Monday Morning Show

The Monday Morning Show with DJ Ned brings variety to morning drive with a mix of music (depending on Ned's mood), production pieces, discussion of current events, occasional guests, general musings on life in Davis, and Ned goofing off 100% of the time.

The Golden Road

Join Wayne Hagan and take a musical journey down the Golden Road and explore the music of the Grateful Dead, its roots, and its many offshoots. Past DJs include Alligator, Lee Maddex, and Rod Moseanko. What a long strange trip!

Classical Excursions

Classical radio programs often focus on well-known light classics and ignore challenging and imaginative masterworks, especially from the rich repertoire of 20th century music, which is very diverse. This results in listeners who are unaware of many wonderful works. Excursions will present short and longer works by famous as well as less known composers, with insightful commentary by a composer with years of experience in radio, classical marketing, and music education.

Live on the first, third and occasional fifth Friday of the month.

Seattle’s all-female garage rock powerhouse The Darts join Eddy Owt in the KDRT studio on The Audio Ecotone prior to the organ flipping, drum smashing, guitar crunching kickoff to their U.S. tour at the Starlet Room in Sacramento on Friday, May 1. In preparation, Eddy has made sure that the studio console is bolted down and all breakables are covered with multiple layers of bubblewrap! Adios from Twang Thang, at least for now

We're so grateful for the eight years he has spent as a volunteer at KDRT doing his wonderful show, most recently on Wednesday mornings. Still, we miss him already.

Dirk Brazil, host of Twang Thang, has announced he's taking a long hiatus from radio, citing other time obligations.

All of us at KDRT wish Dirk well in his post-retirement endeavors, and we thank him for his musical excellence featuring outlaw country old and new.
