We have a conversation with English teacher Mr. Achimore. Then, Mila Dera talks to three students about how they take time off of their phones and ideas get out of the house. Aravind Srinivasan tells us how Aravind Eye Care System uses lean to increase access to eye surgeries for millions of people in India. It is a non-profit that does not rely on donations or government assistance. About half of their patients – those who would otherwise not be able to afford vision care – receive free cataract surgery in a financially sustainable model that prevents needless blindness.
