Sometimes, the best moments happen on a whim. While riding my bike, I heard music drifting through the air and followed the sound. That’s when I found Leyna on piano and Quy on guitar—two students completely lost in their moment of zen. Though music isn’t their major, it’s their passion, and their talent was undeniable. I knew I had to invite them to share their gift. After all, this is community radio—an hour of heartfelt conversation and music, from them to you. Enjoy.

In the 1930s and 1940s, musicals provided a weary world a little bit of respite and reminders of joy to help revive and recharge the spirit. Sadly and incomprehensibly, we need this once again. On this Valentine's Day, my valentine to you, faithful Audio Ecotone listeners, is a little bit of escapism, with favorite selections from musicals from the 1920s to 1980s as well as a surprise appearance by the Nicholas Brothers!

It's a Valentine Bluegrass barrel of fun! Rocky spins some love songs for all the Valentines out there. Cupid rosins up his bow and fires some arrows at the likes of Alison Krauss, John Hartford, Sierra Hull, and even Lester and Earl. Enjoy the lovely ride!
