KDRT 95.7 FM is grassroots radio from Davis, CA, airing an eclectic mix of music and public-affairs programming. A project of nonprofit Davis Media Access, KDRT streams worldwide via KDRT.org.

Praise Time with Preacher

The word "gospel" is derived for the old Anglo-Saxon word meaning “good message” or “good news." Host Preacher believes gospel music is powerful, whether the listener is or is not Christian — that everyone can enjoy listening to gospel because it is uplifting and inspiring, sung with passion and belief from the artist, touching all who hear it in a good and heartfelt way. The aim of Praise Time is to help listeners find what Preacher believes lives in everyone: a good spirit that drives us to be the best we can be.

Eye On Sports is a talk radio show focused on local sports in the Sacramento/Davis area that occasionally covers National Sports. Hosts Chuck and Cody have been involved with sports both nationally and locally for more than 15 years and want to share their opinions and initiate discussion to the public through conversation and occasional outside interviews. This show will not be politically driven in anyway. The conversation will cover the results , local impact, business and psychology of sports.

On Nov. 18, 1972, the Grateful Dead rolled in to Houston for a show at Hofheinz Pavilion. By all accounts it was a dynamic show, but only a good chunk of the second set was clearly captured by Owsley. It’s good stuff! Since this show included a superb "Dark Star," we’ll be dropping a classic "Dark Star" from 1969 to complete the program. This primo fall ‘72 performance will give you something to be thankful for.

So does Brother Bill, who has been studiously reading Dylan's latest tome, as well as Grail Marcus' new book about The Bob. It’s time for our annual year-end movie talk with Derrick, and Davisville host Bill Buchanan begins by confessing he has seen only one movie in a theater this year. We also get Derrick’s take on some of 2022’s worst movies, some of its culturally significant ones, and how he keeps interested in movies after watching, reviewing and dissecting them since his days at the California Aggie in the 1970s.
