It's that time of year... Please support KDRT!
Fri, 05/08/2015 - 1:26pm | Jess Goddéssedonate.png
KDRT is celebrating 10 years of homegrown radio. Every year, we cultivate our grass roots with an annual fund drive to keep the station going strong. As a project of Davis Media Access, we’re supported entirely by contributions from listeners, like you. Your tax-deductible donation keeps KDRT on the air and our unique programming flowing, from local public affairs to independent music and artists.
If you listen local, please give local: Donate online or by mail to Davis Media Access, 1623 Fifth Street, Suite A, Davis, California, 95616.
Thank you so much for your continued support. :)

Album of the Week - Fiery Furnaces "Bitter Tea" - TH 3/5 5P
Thu, 03/05/2015 - 10:52am | Jess Goddésse
This week's AotW is "Bitter Tea," the 2006 release by the Fiery Furnaces, a band composed of brother and sister Eleanor and Matt Friedberger. It’s a trippy, inspired piece of work that features a tinny upright piano--dragged from the lounge of a depression-era bordello--functioning as the signature instrument, stitching together the patchwork songs with Matt's speedy little trills. Toss in Eleanor’s high, clipped voice; some moog; backward vocals; and other electronic and studio madness...these kids are really on to something! :> DJ Dug Deep hosts.
