An hour of Oscar Peterson!
Spangler hit the scene in 2011 first as a duo with multi instrumentalist singer songwriters Tim and Helen Spangler. The band started to produce indie pop rock songs with a range of sensibilities from folk funk to quirky alt. Their catchy tunes worked well for the Sacramento bar scene as well as smaller house gatherings and tasting rooms. The band really hit its stride with the addition of Chris Reilly Reilly on percussion/drums/vocals and Adam Estell on bass and vocals. Spangler is currently cranking out gritty indie rock with their new single "Lock Me Up" to pair with their folk ballads.

It's seasonal jazz: Vince Guaraldi's holiday favorites. Nat King Cole and Doris Day do autumn, Mulligan & Desmond, Montgomery, Norah Jones, and Akiyoshi do winter. Ella & Joe Pass, and Earl Hines, do rain, and Lena Horne does Stormy Weather.
"Enjoy the holiday- read a book, write a postcard, send a letter,
go for a walk, take a photo, listen to a record, go see live music, ride
a bike, paint a picture, hang some lights, and by all means avoid
shopping if you can"

It is not every week we have an international renowned singer/songwriter - BUT _ this week we do.
Mick Flannery was brought up on a farm outside Blarney, Co. Cork, Ireland. His first real connection to music was watching an unplugged Nirvana coveringBowie’s “The Man Who Sold the World”. After a stint in a music college in Cork, he travelled to the U.S. where he “wandered around for a time.” While there, he entered the U.S. Songwriting Competition in Nashville, Tennessee and, to his surprise, won two top awards for his compositions.
Mick has a couple of top 10 singles in Europe and is in California for ONLY two shows (SF and Davis) before heading back to Ireland.
Catch him live Friday Nov. 15 in Davis at THIRD SPACE
