Station Closure - End of April

Consistent with current public health guidelines, Davis Media Access - which includes radio station KDRT and Davis Community Television - will be closed to the general public through the end of April.  As a community facility with heavy use and much shared equipment, we feel this is the most responsible way we can help flatten the curve and keep the Covid-19 virus from spreading.  Please direct questions and comments to info@davismedia.org.

COVID-19 Community Report Episode 6: Speaking with Congressman John Garamendi - Apr 3rd, 2020

In Episode 6 we spoke to Congressman John Garamendi, D-CA, from the 3rd Congressional District who shared his firsthand experience and perspectives from inside the Beltway.

We focused our discussion on detailing the economic stimulus package recently passed by Congress that addresses various aspects of economic fallout that so many are experiencing. What will the fallout be for local governments, small businesses, nonprofits, renters, and more?  Listeners were invited to contact his offices with questions.

Garamendi represents the 3rd Congressional District in California, including Colusa, Sutter, and Yuba counties plus most of Glenn, Lake, Solano, and Yolo counties, and a portion of Sacramento County.

That's Jazz Again, part 2

On 2 April 2020, we replayed the second interview with Don Shor about "Women Jazz Singers".  Don continues his sharing of Jazz with post-WWII changes and the rising to prominence of women jazz singers -- in particular Ella Fitgerald, Billie Holiday, Lena Horne, and Sara Vaughn.  This show has lots MORE music and far less talk.  This episode was originally broadcast on Thursday, 15 February 2018, and you can find the original at: https://kdrt.org/audio/jazz-part-2-women-jazz-singers-back-back-shows-do...
