Warnings about Fraud and Scams (replay)

District Attorney officers Kevin Clark and Lyndsey Hall tell us about ongoing scams, frauds, and shady dealers.  Be warned!  Anyone can be a target for folks doing bad things -- but with awareness, a "target" might avoid becoming a "victim"!

The information shared here is timeless.  So the fact that this was recorded pre-pandemic does not diminish its import.  Feel free to share this link widely:  https://kdrt.org/audio/warnings-about-fraud-and-scams-replay

I usually close these descriptions with "Hope you enjoy this show!" but today I'll say instead:

"Hope listening to this helps you."

14. Sports Broadcasting

Kevin Dexter, play-by-play commentator for the Long Island Nets, tells us about his career as a sports broadcaster. Learn about an intriguing experiment done during an NFL game in 1980 to find out if we really need sports broadcasters. Then take a quick trip to Long Island, New York, where Charles Lindbergh took off in 1927 on the first solo nonstop transatlantic flight ever, and where the 4,500-pound great white shark that inspired the movie Jaws was caught.
