Davisville, March 5, 2018: Brody Fernandez is no longer a council candidate, but his #1 topic is still housingMon, 03/05/2018 - 6:05pm | Bill BuchananBrody Fernandez, who will graduate from UC Davis this year, was a candidate in the June Davis City Council election, then concluded he wouldn't be able to commit the time or resources the campaign would have required. His #1 issue was the housing problem in Davis, a common frustration, especially for students. He based some of his research on what he learned while driving people around as a driver for Lyft and Uber. Today we talk about what he thinks Davis should do, why he wanted to run, and what drew him to Davis in the first place. |

The Golden Road for 7:00pm on Mar 2nd, 2018Fri, 03/02/2018 - 9:05pm | Lee MaddexMarch 8th, 2018 marks the 45th anniversary of Ron “Pigpen” McKernan’s death at age 27. Like so many of his 1960s peers, Pigpen was only here briefly and then he was gone. Gone but never forgotten. So this week on the Golden Road we are celebrating the Grateful Dead’s original front man’s oh so brief life and musical career with hand-selected tunes spanning Pig’s performing years from Mother McCree’s to the Grateful Dead. “Pigpen was and is now forever one of the Grateful Dead” My first show with the brand new audio board, so some of the levels may be a touch hot.
