This week we talk with Senator Bill Dodd, who represents California's 3rd Senate District, which includes Yolo County as well as all or portions of Solano, Napa, Sonoma, Sacramento and Contra Costa counties. We talk about California's Roadmap to Recovery, and discuss how we move forward from here.
Our discussion touched briefly on (1) the state budget and future of post-COVID-19 education funding, (2) issues regarding the COVID-19 testing and case statistics in relation to phases of local economic recovery activites, and (3) addressing the risks and costs associated with past and future wildfire prevention, fighting and recovery.

Original airdate April 30, 2015.
This episode features an excellent 17+ minute jam by Achilles Wheel recorded in Auburn, California in 2011. Only fitting that it closely follows my telling of the 'History of the Lava Lamp.' Both these segments can be found in hour two of the program.
But wait, there's more! How about a healthy dose of the West Nile Ramblers, seasoned by an amazing in studio live recording of "Smoke That Cigarette' performed by the Californios with Mike Blanchard. The world's oldest pretzel, why is it shaped the way it is? Why do humans have chins?
Check it out. Peace.

Would you like another COLORful show? This is part two of the color "BLUE"!
BLUE is in the name -- of the song, of the album, or of the artist/band. There were so many "blue" choices, that I made TWO shows this color!
This one includes Kate Wolf, the Grateful Dead, Johnny Cash, Eric Clapton, Ella Fitzgerald, Gershwin, and more.
So here it is -- "Blue, part two".
