Live Tracks for 7:00pm on Jan 2nd, 2020

This episode dates to January of 2009.  Barack Obama was six days away from being sworn in as President of the United States.  And, of course, the calendar has ticked over another year.

Lots of good music, and a party atmosphere, prevailed at the Out of Control Booth that evening.  Relive the experience by streaming this program.  Available online through January 15th.  Peace.  Good luck in 2020.

Live Tracks Highlights a Decade of Thursday Live! Recordings - Part 1

This week, Live Tracks focuses almost entirely on Yolo County bands, from shows recorded during the monthly Thursday Live! concert series at the Davis Odd Fellows Hall. In November 2009, Jim recorded his first Thursday Live! concert, with the Rita Hosking Trio, and the rest is history -- at an average of 9 shows per year, the total exceeds 90 two-hour concerts recorded, mixed, and broadcast on KDRT Thursday evenings during Live Tracks. This week's episode covers a lot of ground, and samples popular local bands such as The Cups, Rita Hosking Trio, The Muddy Waders, the legendary Clarence Van Hook with Cedar Seeger, The West Nile Ramblers, Bonanza King, The Davis "Odd Stars" from the 2018 British Invasion Concert, the Golden Cadillacs, and a special recording of Mumbo Gumbo from the November 2018 Fire Relief Benefit.

Hi Jim,
Your show makes for great bike commute music...regarding Daltry & Townsend "cultural" award...it was the Kennedy Center awards...presented by, you guessed it...dubya! Oh, and the Sac. Blues Review number is reminiscent of the Cealis commercial on TeeVee...any connection?? Just wondering, Drt-clod Craig
