Live Tracks Looks BackThu, 09/23/2021 - 9:10pm | Jim BuchananHello all - KDRT is seventeen years young on September 24th, and this Live Tracks relives a bit of my 17 year recording history here in Davis. You will hear performances from the E St. Plaza, the Odd Fellows Lodge, and special one offs from the Davis Senior Center and the booth itself. I am pleased to celebrate seventeen years of KDRT and Live Tracks. Thank you all for listening, and for supporting KDRT and Davis Media Access. Peace. |

Vinyl VisionsThu, 09/02/2021 - 9:10pm | Jim BuchananLots of long playing records fill the airwaves (or internet packets of zeroes and ones) on this episode of Live Tracks. First aired August 31, 2017, the Summer of Love (1967) was all the rage once again as we collectively licked our mental wounds following the unfortunate election of what would prove to be the worst electoral mistake collectively made by the voters of this wonderful country [the regrettable electee's name rhymed with dump]. Miraculously sober for the entire two hours of this program, your host honored the music of an era that featured creative, emotive songwriting. You will hear the Stone Ponies, Savoy Brown, Country Joe and the Fish and much more. Revel in the wonders of true dynamic range (instead of highly compressed sonic train wrecks). Peace. |

Hi Jim,
Your show makes for great bike commute music...regarding Daltry & Townsend "cultural" award...it was the Kennedy Center awards...presented by, you guessed it...dubya! Oh, and the Sac. Blues Review number is reminiscent of the Cealis commercial on TeeVee...any connection?? Just wondering, Drt-clod Craig
