Live Tracks for 7:00pm on May 20th, 2021Thu, 05/20/2021 - 9:10pm | Jim BuchananPerhaps you went to the Blue Mango? Bill Scholer and Jan Peters sure did, and played there often. Live Tracks plays some songs recorded in October 2019 at the site of the Blue Mango (now the Paradise Bar & Grille) with Jan Peters on vocals and harmonica, Bill Scholer (guitar/vocals), Steve O'Neill (bass), Cedar Seeger (guitar) and Bart Van der Zeeuw (drums). In the other hour and a half of the program, you will hear Sandy Coldiron (w/Jan Peters) from 2012 perform her haunting song "Here's To Us." New Words (from the 1940 Webster Collegiate Dictionary) debuts as a new irregular segment on Live Tracks. And to ease the mania filled mind that describes 21st century life in California, sit back with your cool beverage and float along with the Twanglers, Muddy Waders, Quitters, Boca do Rio and Achilles Wheel Trio. Peace. |

Live Tracks for 7:00pm on May 6th, 2021Thu, 05/06/2021 - 9:10pm | Jim BuchananToday's program buffet is a tale of two main courses. The first is a series of jams that will put you in a jazzy, fok groove, suitable for the coming summer. About 10 minutes into the second hour, rock and roll fever takes over. Lou Reed, R.E.M. and Neil Young to name only a few. Settle in to your best hi fi music listening position and age gracefully, one song at a time. Peace.

The song count keeps rising throughout the evening. Mostly, new releases showcase this very special program. Find out why fish get depressed, and where a sunken treasure of 100,000 lbs. of gold may lie slumbering beneath the sea. |

Hi Jim,
Your show makes for great bike commute music...regarding Daltry & Townsend "cultural" award...it was the Kennedy Center awards...presented by, you guessed it...dubya! Oh, and the Sac. Blues Review number is reminiscent of the Cealis commercial on TeeVee...any connection?? Just wondering, Drt-clod Craig
