Deep Roots!     That is what we all need to survive today!     Help us grow our roots deep in Davis this fall during our short fundraiser, October 28 to November 3!    Now is the time to give us a few bucks, a monthly donation, or a healthy dose of appreciation- whatever you think we deserve for our work.    We operate on a shoestring, lots of volunteer passion, and you!    KDRT-LP 95.7 fm is an effort we all put time into, and now is that time for our listeners and supporters.

That's right, my father-in-law is hitting the KDRT studios to talk about this album, his interactions with Roger Waters, and his love of rock n' roll. Others may be joining us as well. There is no way we are getting through all 1 hour and 23 minutes of this album in our hour-long show, so we'll do what we can. It's going to be... something. Join us!

Yo! And The Electric visits KDRT

Yo! And The Electric formed in 2017. This psychedelic group gets its inspiration from such artists as Bob Dylan, Frank Zappa, and The Beach Boys. Based in Sacramento, Yo! And The Electric self-released "Spartacus," an EP of original psychedelic jams, in August, and is known for blending '60s pop sensibilities with cool undertones of jazz. The band offers a full rich sound that has a wonderful depth. 

Band members are: Skyler Leftridge, Julia Stimson, Ryan Coughran, Dane Skinner, and Patrick Lema.

Oct. 14th Benefit Concert with The Muddy Waders to Celebrate KDRT's 14th Birthday

We are thrilled to be hosting a benefit concert for KDRT with The Muddy Waders on Sunday, October 14th, from 4 to 7pm at Robin's Nest - one of Davis' most well-loved house concert venues.  The Muddy Waders are known for their innovative sets of newgrass, and their slurry of jazz standards mixed with blues, rock, country and electro-acoustic jamming.  Attendance is capped at 100 seats - reserve tickets now at link.  We are grateful to the band and Robin's Nest for donating their talents and venue in support of KDRT community radio.  Purchase tickets here, and thanks for your support!

Tonights performance will pass on the joy and the power of music to those gracious enough to listen. Showcasing up-beat, rocking, acoustic music, this isn't folk night at the coffee shop. This event is open and free to the public. Josh Wisterman is making quite a name for himself playing traditional jazz with a young mans determination. His interpretations of 1950’s jazz greats has many believing in reincarnation. When you hear him you will understand that this “kid” delivers a sound that leaves you wanting for more. Music enthusiasts are taking notice. Josh grew up in Woodland, CA . Armadillo Music is hosting this event (Located at 207 F Street in Davis, CA.)
