Remembering Bill Wagman – June 28 at Odd Fellows

Legendary Davis radio host Bill Wagman passed away earlier this year. If you knew Bill well – or simply knew him through his house concerts and radio shows on KDRT and KDVS – please join us for a very special Celebration of Life at Davis Odd Fellows Hall, 415 Second St., at 2 p.m. on Sunday, June 28. There will be a finger-food potluck, and so please bring some appetizers or desserts to share.  RIP, Bill.

KDRT Live Broadcast – Davis Music Fest 2026!

Davis Music Festival is here! KDRT broadcasts live from Sudwerk's Hopyard stage on Friday, June 19 – starting at 4 p.m. Pacific, featuring performances by Wet Wreckless, Megan Slankard, and Marty O'Reilly. We're also live from Armadillo Music on Saturday at 3 p.m. with music by Anna May, Beti Masenqo, Maita, and Mission Delirium. Thank YOU for supporting Our Spring FUNdraiser!

Thank you SO much for being part of our KDRT family, supporting us during our Spring FUNdraiser. We couldn't do what we do without donors like you, keeping our grass roots growing strong for more than 21 years! If you missed the FUNdraiser fun, of course there's still time to show your support. As an added incentive, we've got a special thank-you gift for one lucky donor who gives $75 or more: one pair of passes for the Father's Day Bluegrass Festival!

For a chance at the tickets, just donate via KDRT.org and then email us by Monday May 25, to express your interest. We'll select a recipient at random and announce them on The Yolo County Breakdown on May 29, right here on KDRT 95.7 FM + KDRT.org. Thanks again!

If you can't find your favorite shows online...

If you're having trouble finding your go-to KDRT programs in our online archives, here’s why: A technical issue, made worse by the recent Davis power outage, has interrupted access to multiple programs on kdrt.org. We’re working to get the archive back in shape, and we’ll let you know as soon as we have more details. Meanwhile, here’s our broadcast schedule and some great listening options:

Tune in live on 95.7 FM anywhere within our broadcast range.

- Listen live online via our stream from just about anywhere.

- Scroll down the blog below for quick links to recent programs.

- Catch many archived shows in the podcast apps, like Apple Podcasts.

KDRT Spring FUNdraiser – Saturday Spectacular!

But today – Saturday, May 16 – we invite you to partake of our Spring FUNdraiser Spectactular, a live on-air marathon with special guests, live music, and spontaneous surprises. Don’t miss the fun: Tune in, join the celebration, feel the love, and support your community radio station. Earn yourself our gratitude and perhaps a special thank-you gift. It’s Here: The Big Day of Giving for KDRT!

With much excitement and intensity (and some anxiety), Teddy has an announcement to make: May 7 marks the Big Day of Giving, a 24-hour celebration and fundraiser for nonprofits making a difference in our community, like KDRT. We’re here for you 24/7, presenting brand new and specialty music, timeless classics, and local news that matters. Now we ask you to show your support for all we do by participating in our Spring FUNdraiser – and when you donate during BDOG through Davis Media Access, our parent organization, your contribution may be boosted with matching funds and more. Ready to jump in? Give by midnight tonight and spread the word! WOOF and THANK YOU!

Adios from Twang Thang, at least for now

We're so grateful for the eight years he has spent as a volunteer at KDRT doing his wonderful show, most recently on Wednesday mornings. Still, we miss him already.

Dirk Brazil, host of Twang Thang, has announced he's taking a long hiatus from radio, citing other time obligations.

All of us at KDRT wish Dirk well in his post-retirement endeavors, and we thank him for his musical excellence featuring outlaw country old and new.

KDRT Suds & Sounds – April 29, 2026

KDRT invites YOU to Suds & Sounds at Armadillo Music in downtown Davis on Wednesday, April 29, from 4 to 6 p.m. Meet K-DiRT friends and fans and perhaps even win a pair of tickets for Pat Metheny, in concert in Sacramento, on May 2. Beverages for all ages are available at the Bootleg Bar. Suds & Sounds repeats every month on the last Wednesday — mark you calendars!
