Want to introduce Grandchild to Jazz "IN THE WOMB", need help finding the following:
Miles Davis - “Kind Of Blue” album, “Someday My Prince Will Come”, “Seven Steps To Heaven”, the perennial classic “Sketches Of Spain”, “Bitches Brew”, “Miles In The Sky”.
Cannonball’s - “Jazz Workshop Revisited”, “Cannonball & Coltrane”.
Yusef Lateef - “Eastern Sounds”.
Joe Zawinul - founding member of the group “Weather Report” - “Heavy Weather”, “This Is This”.
Coltrane - “Cannonball & Coltrane”, “Lush Life”, “Giant Steps, “Coltrane Plays The Blues”, “Africa Brass”, “A Love Supreme”, (which is not one of my favorites).
Oliver Nelson - “Blues And The Abstract Truth”.
Cal Tjader - “Latin Concert”, “Several Shades Of Jade”.
Vince Guaraldi - “Cast Your Fate To The Winds”.
Herbie Mann - “Live At The Village Gate”, “Memphis Underground”.
Stan Getz - “Jazz Samba”, Jazz Samba Encore”, and “Getz/Gilberto”, “Focus Album”.
Art Blakey - “Three Blind Mice”, “The African Beat”, “The Freedom Rider”.
George Benson - “Breezin”.
Dave Brubeck: “Time Out” , “Time Further Out”, and “Time In Outer Space”.
Thank you for any assistance you can give!
Roger Smith (friend of Lee Renault)
I've seen a number of those in the used vinyl section of Armadillo Music, my favorite local music store. I browse there frequently, then convert them to mp3 files with a special turntable. Nearly all of them are available on iTunes or from Amazon as digital mp3 downloads, if you happen to like to get your music that way (that's how I have a lot of the ones on your list).
That's a very interesting list, and you've given me some leads for future shows! Thanks.
Thankful for YOUR input and glad we could possibly contribute to your listeners and your show!
Please pass on my, Roger Smith (former Security Officer at Cache Creek Casino), regards to Lee Renault and his wife.
