Uplifting Community and Budget Cut Concerns

 

 Today the News Cycle focuses on responding to rhetoric from the Trump Administration about undocumented students and federal funding of education. A few weeks ago, we took a look at how the Trump Administration's economic plans will affect Davis residents. Now, students are worried about how they’ll be treated in the event of budget cuts or threats to their identity. We spoke with Matt Best, the superintendent of Davis Joint Unified School District, about a recent Op-ed he released that focused on the concerns of students and parents. Then, Elina Hibel covers budget cut concerns, and Rowan Reising gets a read on how students are feeling.
