88. Birding for BeginnersMon, 01/29/2024 - 9:12pm | RohanBirding is the hobby of observing birds in their natural habitats. The COVID-19 pandemic led to a rise in the popularity of birding and with it grew a booming birding ecotourism industry. This interest in avian adventures could raise more awareness about biodiversity conservation and help preserve endangered species and bird habitats. Zane Pickus and Bart Wickel from Yolo Audubon Society tell us about how beginners can get into birding and how to learn more about our feathered friends. Then travel to Ecuador, the closest country to space in the world, home to 1,600 species of birds, and a city where you can stand with one foot in each hemisphere. |
