Show host Lois Richter visits with Ellen Zagory, director of horticulture, and Francesca Claverie, assistant nursery manager from the UC Davis Arboretum. They discuss the latest happenings and plantings at the new Teaching Nursery, its demonstration garden showcasing the Arboretum "All-Stars," upcoming annual plant sales, workshops and more. On the western end of the Arboretum, an important new installation is under construction--the Nature's Gallery Court. It includes 140 hand-crafted tiles, depicting native and drought-tolerant plants and beneficial insects, made by students, faculty, and community members as part of the Art/Science Fusion

A while back, a friend asked me for some Hawaiian music, and I asked what she liked. We figured out that "that guy, you know, who does all the Hawaiian music" was actually Don Ho. In an effort to provide my friend with some beloved favorite tunes while expanding her knowledge of other Hawaiian artists, I recreated the playlist from the original Don Ho album, "Tiny Bubbles," but replaced Don's smooth crooning with a variety of Hawaiian musicians. See if you like who I chose. And keep the bubbles coming!
