Davisville, 9/7/15: Understanding the new J & CovellMon, 09/07/2015 - 6:05pm | Bill BuchananBeen through the new “Dutch intersection” at J and Covell yet? The city rebuilt this busy crossroads near the new Cannery housing development in order to slow and improve the safety of right-hand turns by cars and trucks, make bicyclists more visible, and shorten the distance that cyclists and pedestrians must cross to clear the traffic lanes. It represents the continued reshuffle of bikes, cars and foot traffic in Davis, and there’s more to come. On today’s show we talk about the intersection, how it works, feedback from its first month, and what’s next, with Robb Davis, Davis mayor pro tem and an experienced bicyclist himself. |

Don’t let his age fool you--he has something in his resume that most musicians can only dream of. Mr. Tippie wrote the music score for the movie The Unforgotten (link is external), produced by Andre Martinez. Mr. Tippie’s main instruments are guitar and piano, and most of what he plays is rock and metal. So let's hear some of the movie score and learn how a composer and movie director work together.
