Last Day of Summer!Tue, 08/25/2015 - 6:05pm | Rocket DrewToday is the very last day of summer vacation in DJUSD. Today was also sophomore orientation at DHS. If any highschoolers are interested in being involved with theatre, there's a DHS drama/acme potluck BBQ on the first Friday of school. With school starting it's important for students to know their rights when it comes to suspensions, expulsions, and involuntary transfers, and this show includes an ACLU article with a lot of relevant information. In other news, Unfortunate, a show here at KDRT, hosted by DJ Nosferatu and OG Willikers, has recently come to an end. In honor of the fiery legacy of this show—nay, lifestyle, this show also includes some Calvin & Hobbes. |

Davisville, 8/24/15: Richie Furay, part 2Mon, 08/24/2015 - 6:05pm | Bill BuchananToday's show wraps up my interview with Richie Furay, who co-founded the bands Buffalo Springfield and Poco, and recently played in Sacramento with his current group, the Richie Furay Band (here's part 1 of the interview). Today he talks about his latest CD Hand in Hand, playing with Keb' Mo', his signature song "Kind Woman," and one of his Christian songs, "Through It All." He also tells the story about the band he and Gram Parsons--another major musician from the 1960s--talked about forming, as well as why they decided it wouldn't work. |
