There was a man named Pete from the Pacific Islands who found out about hot air balloons. It was his plan to sail home in the Pacific by a homemade hot air balloon. He did a good job of making the balloon, and even got the balloon in the air, but he did not land on a Pacific Island. He landed in a Sierra Neveda tree. Tune in for this charming true tale. |

Together they are going to free Jim. With Tom comes his very involved "freeing" plot that Tom believes is the way to do things. It's good to remember that Twain meant this book to be a boys adventure book, and the Tom character is based on a real child from Twain's past. |
