Tonight’s program features Lester Young and Billie Holiday from the 1940s in the first half. We’ll year Young with the Kansas City Six, with Nat "King" Cole and Buddy Rich, and accompanying Holiday. West Coast cool in the second half: Bud Shank, Gerry Mulligan, Stan Getz with Kenny Barron, the Dave Brubeck Quartet, and Victor Biglione.

Also: Ella Fitzgerald live from Copenhagen in 1959, in a newly released recording, and then Russ Freeman, Earl "Fatha" Hines, Count Basie & His Orchestra, Paul Desmond, and Ben Webster.

called, "Davis Jazz Night." At the John Natsoulas Art Gallery 521 1St. downtown Davis. 700:-9:00

monthly, EVERY last Friday. Always hosted by a Davis semi-pro community 12-piece jazz band called "The New Harmony Jazz Band." Thank you.
