Today In the Key of Folk does some reminiscing on time recently spent out in the singing peace of nature, with tracks by Rita Hosking, Laurie Lewis, Molly Tuttle, and others. Then DJ Karen moves into a mix of favorites and  a try at comparison (curious?). The hour finishes with a Scandi tune or two. Coming up soon!

Tonight on at 6pm Pacific on The Electric Compost Heap, DJ Dug Deep spins new tunes from Ratboys and Guided by Voices, whose latest, "Crawlspace of the Pantheon," was just released today! Sonny & Miles & more on The Audio Ecotone – May 29, 2026

This week we lost one of the last giants from the "classic" age of jazz. Sonny Rollins passed at the age of 95 on May 25, one day prior to Miles Davis' 100th birthday. Rollins not only helped define the sound of jazz tenor saxophone on such classic albums as Saxophone Colossus, Freedom Suite, and The Bridge, but he also continued to evolve and perform up into his eighties. On this week's show, we highlight some of his classic tracks, pay tribute to Miles' 100th, and spotlight some new music and upcoming shows this weekend. Listen live at 3 p.m. PT on 95.7FM locally or kdrt.org worldwide.

Replays Sunday at 4 p.m. and Thursday 10 a.m.

We're back, baby!
