Hey fellow Radio Landers!
The is my first plunge into the blog pool. One thing I would like to mention is that there were more tracks to the 11/30 "Hunt Special" broadcast of The Golden Road. What did not make to the playlist (due to my technical nubialness!) was:
Wharf Rat and One More Saturday Nite, both tune were also from the Wembley Empire Pool theatre in London, April of '72.
Since this is my first entry here, please know that if you add a comment to the KDRT/Golden Road scene, I will read 'em. Requests for particular versions of your favorite Grateful Dead, Jerry Garcia or California Sound tunes will be honored "if I had it my own way".
Next Time,
RodÂ

Might I suggest with new years coming up, a show made up of only new years show songs, or might I even say the closing of winterland, or even live at cow palace? Both of those were rippin shows, and many young listeners out there were not able to experience them. The closeset they have now are phil and friends. Thank you uncle bobo!
Dear Anonymous:
That has been my plan for quite awhile - if the Great Sultan Shaw lets me in the building on 12/28, KDRT listerners will hear double-barreled, top-fuel nitro burning Grateful Dead NYE material for a solid 2 hours. And, of course, to be replayed on the air or available for download via the station website anytime...like, say!...12/31/08!!!
Thanks for the suggestion and tuning in to KDRTÂ
