Welcome back for another installment of Drupl How-To's. This time around we're going to look at how to spruce up your audio page. The topics we will be discussing include:
-Adding text
-Adding images
-And deleting posts.
For an example of what I mean, let's take a look at the Davisville show page.
As you can see Mr.Buchanan has down a great job of adding both pictures and descriptions to each of his individuals shows. You too can do this! And its easy!
Step One
As usual, make sure you log in using the log in box at the bottom of the KDRT homepage
Step Two
From here click your user name and the "Track" button to view all of the content tied to your account.
Step Three
Choose a show that you wish to add information to. This will hopefully be the first of many, so don't fret too much about which show to use. Perhaps choose your most recent show, and just institute this system going forward. After selecting the show, hit the "Edit" button.
Step Four
Now to actually add some information! You can do this in several ways. One way is to purely add a written description of what the show is about. You can do this by entering a written description in the "Body" section of the post. This is a great way to show your listeners what exactly each show is about.
Step Five
You can also add ann image to any of your posts. To do this, look at the toolbar right above the "Body" section. On the far right you'll see a picture of, well, a picture. Click this button to access the photo upload menu. Preferably, you want to upload a picture from your computer that you own the rights to. Click the "Choose File" button to find the photo on your computer. After you have selected the photo, click "Upload." Once the photo is finished uploading hit "Submit." The next page will say "Current Format is…" and present you with a drop down menu. Select "Teaser." and then hit "Submit."
Step Six
You have now successfully added a picture to your text! Now when you return to the main audio page, the image will be displayed. If you double click the picture, you will be presented with further options. You can set an alignment, whether or not you wish for the photo to be to the left or the right of the text. You can also associate the picture with a link! Say you have a guest on, post a picture of him or her. You can then link that picture to their online presence. Neat!
Step Seven
Remember to save! None of your hard work will carry over if you do not hit the save button at the bottom of the page!
Deleting Posts
Sometimes, things go terribly awry, and show must be deleted. For whatever reason, there is an easy way to do this. Simply scroll to the bottom of the post, and hit the delete button. This will get rid of your audio post.
