Live Tracks frequently airs songs from local performances recorded here in Davis. In general, live music takes precedence over studio cuts. LT began broadcasting on KDRT Sept. 30, 2004, and has produced 653 unique programs as of May 2022. In addition to music, hear a blend of trivia and history. The year 2012 ushered in the birth of the segment "This Day in Beatles' History." Best experienced with a lava lamp, cool recreational beverage of choice, and a place to chill out.
Peace.

Live Tracks for 7:00pm on Nov 4th, 2021Thu, 11/04/2021 - 9:10pm | Jim BuchananThis program has an original airdate of Nov. 19, 2009. Apparently, I took more time back then to weave together multiple threads of activism amid mischevious bits of audio stuff. Listen to the entire program and you will hear part of a Frank Zappa interview recorded in 1991, among other things. Quite a playful show, this one is. Good music, too. |
Live Tracks, Oct. 28, 2021: … or should we say, Terror Tracks?Thu, 10/28/2021 - 9:10pm | Jim BuchananGather ‘round your device — better yet, find a set of 1960s stereo speakers, or even a cathedral radio lit by the warm orange glow of 1930s tube technology — and tune in for this year’s Halloween edition of Live Tracks. We have treats for you: music, stories of spooky doings, and two skits from the Davis Tales of Terror Theatre Troupe, aired tonight for the first time anywhere. Local moody music selections include a live recording of "She's Waiting" by Rita Hosking and Cousin Jack, and selections from Bill Scholer's "Haunted Highway" album and Roger Kunkel's "Guitar Solo." |

Hi Jim,
Your show makes for great bike commute music...regarding Daltry & Townsend "cultural" award...it was the Kennedy Center awards...presented by, you guessed it...dubya! Oh, and the Sac. Blues Review number is reminiscent of the Cealis commercial on TeeVee...any connection?? Just wondering, Drt-clod Craig
