We speak with Dr. David Kimberlin, a Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, and Co-Director of their Division of Pediatric Infectious Diseases about the new variant. Dr. Kimberlin also is one of two liaisons from the American Academy of Pediatrics to the CDC’s Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices, where COVID vaccine recommendations are crafted.
