Ocean and Toes
As a child
The ocean spray
And I where best friends
The wetness
on my cheeks
Was
Laughter
Both of ours
Running and giggling
as our toes
Glided through the surf
The wind of our oneness
Powered by the future
Today
The ocean spray
And I are well acquainted
The wetness
on my cheeks
Is now a yearning
Both mine and the oceans
Walking with appreciation
As our toes
Dance
Knowing
We will again
Soon
