Hello out there in Radio Land!
Last Sunday we had the fortune of having Yolo County's "Ambassador of Good Vibes" and supremely talented, internationally known multi-instrumentalist, Joe Craven in the KDRT studio. Joe is headlining the second benefit concert for KDRT at the Odd Fellows Hall in Downtown Davis on March 6th and was happy to stop by the station for an exclusive interview before he hit the road for a tour stop in Washington.
The interview was conducted by KDRT's Wayne Hagen (host of "Sounds So Sweet") and Nancy Bodily (host of "Mountain Mama's Earth Music Hour") for what was originally planned to be only an hour. However, Joe was having a great time in our studio and was gracious enough to keep it rolling when Doctor Strangely Strange (host of "Magical Music Box") arrived.
So in place of The Golden Road this week, you can tune in and hear a very special broadcast that illustrates not only a healthy dose of what inspires Joe Craven, but also a wonderful look at the beautiful mind & spirit expanding role that music plays in our lives. The interview will air on KDRT this Sunday, 2/22 from 7 - 9 pm...then on Friday, 2/27 from 10 pm to 12 midnight...and once more on Saturday, 2/28 from 3 - 5 pm. Check it out and we hope to see you at the Odd Fellow Hall on March 6th!
