Sumaia Jackson on Live Dirt May 10th at 11:00AM

Sumia Jackson recently appeared at The Palms with Jayme Stone's Folklife.  She will be appearing there with her own band on Friday May 10th.  That same morning, Sumia will drop by the KDRT studios for a live dirt with me - Folk Brother Bill - at 11AM.  With a driving groove and a smooth, open sound, fiddler and tunestress Sumaia Jackson is a quintessential modern West Coast fiddler. Jackson weaves together Old-Time, Bluegrass, Swing, and Celtic traditions with an easy virtuosity and melodic elegance.

Ben Hunter and Joe Seamons will visit KDRT on Friday, April 19th at 11:00AM

Ben Hunter and Joe Seamons are songster revivalists who perform acoustic blues, field hollers, fiddle and banjo breakdowns, and early jazz. They will be appearing at Solomon’s Deli in Davis at 12:30 p.m. and at the Palms in Winters that evening. More information at BenJoeMusic dot com.

Baby Gramps & Robert Armstrong on Live Dirt

Folk Brother Bill Wagman will be hosting Baby Gramps and Robert Armstrong on Friday, November 17th from 3:00 - 4:00PM. Gramps and Robert are appearing at the Palms that evening. Baby Gramps is an amazing amalgamation of anything anyone has ever heard. Robert has been playing music in the Winters area for longer than we remember.
