The jazz world lost two legendary perfomers in the last two weeks. Tonight’s program features selections from Chico Hamilton, drummer, and Jim Hall, guitarist. Hamilton and Hall together, then a sampling from Hamilton’s work over two decades, including a drum solo. Jim Hall is paired with Paul Desmond, Carl Perkins, Jimmy Giuffre, Ron Carter, and Pat Metheny. And he backed Ella Fitzgerald at her Grammy-winning performance Live at Berlin.
