Music from Celtic lands, as fall turns to winter

With the seasonal transition underway from autumn to winter, this week's session reflects the change. We'll listen in with the band Danú, Scotland's Dougie Maclean, mandolinist Marla Fibish, the folk arrangments of Salt House, our own local Golden Bough, fiddler Manus Maquire from the Copperplate Sessions, Kris Colt & the Black Rose band, Turlough, Ireland's Shane Hennessy, and Capid Draconis.

Nature, Myth, Magic and Music

On this session of Celtic Songlines I present three selections from Ashley Davis's sparkling new album "Songs of Celtic Winter II."  Her songs are inspired by Winter which nicely fits within this week's theme of Nature, Myth, Magic and Music. Also on the program are Damh the Bard, Heather Alexander, ancient music from the band Hexperos, Will Millar, Natalie Padilla with Blaine Chastain & Peter Romero, the pagan folk of PerKelt, piper John Dew and I am of Ireland's W.B Yeats.
