In this edition of The Golden Road, we stay the course and bring out another hot show from the month of November...this time it's 11/24/79 recorded live at Golden Hall in San Diego. With Jerry exploring the new tones he was getting out of his new guitar, "The Tiger", and Brent Mydland settling in with the band after his debut in April of '79, The Dead were cookin'! The show starts off with a smo-ho-ho-hokin' China/Rider and never looks back.
Also included in this broadcast is a trio of tunes from the new release by Scott Cooper, "Batik In Blue". Scott has been making cool sounds out of Santa Cruz for years and with new release he and his band, The Barrelmakers, are hitting the road for some live action.
