In this edition of the Golden Road we check in with the whereabouts of one Jerome Garcia in the years of 1970 and 71. Last seen, he was traveling from studio-to-studio in & about the San Francisco Bay area with guitars, a banjo and oddly enough, a pedal steel in tow. Witnesses to his spurious activity were David Crosby, Robert Hunter, Dan Healy, Steve Barncard and assorted characters belonging to the musical groups, New Riders of the Purple Sage and the Grateful Dead. Few photos exist of these doings by Mr. Garcia, but a multitude of sound recordings capture the activity...wonderfully!
