For this edition of The Golden Road we plug in to the Wall of Sound at Bill Graham's fabled Winterland Arena in San Francisco for a good dose of epic live Grateful Dead from 1974. This material is from the soundtrack to the "Grateful Dead Movie" which was filmed at a run of shows in October on '74 before the band went on a nearly 2 year hiatus to cool their jets. No one ever made music like this before, and no one ever will again.
