This edition of The Grapevine whips up a mess of blues, Texas Style. The featured artist is the late, great Texas Cannonball, Freddie King. One of the infamous "Three Kings", along with B.B. and Albert, each influenced 1000's of guitar players from all over the world. Freddie's playing and singing style is full of driving, right on the money sounds that simply make you feel real good.
Also included in this week's broadcast is a little taste of John Lee Hooker from his ripping album, "Never Get Out Of These Blues Alive", a trio of tunes from Robert Cray's first release, "Who's Been Talkin'?", some Fabulous T-Birds, and, of course, the legendary Texas bluesman, Stevie Ray Vaughan. Enjoy!
