Tonight here on the Golden Road is part two of our two part series featuring music from the Grateful Dead’s splendid of July 17-19, 1989 Alpine Valley run of shows. Alpine Valley was a legendary Grateful Dead tour stop and the scene of many excellent shows in the 1980s, but alas, these 1989 shows would be their last at the stored shed. This evening’s show will be one long fantasy set, with music culled from the Dead’s Alpine Valley second sets. This is some very fine Grateful Dead music and not to be missed.
