Pet Project, a CD release party at International House

The public is invited to Pet Project, a CD release party at International
House, 10 College Park in Davis on April 22, 7-10 pm. The musical evening
will celebrate the new edition of "Puttin on the Dog," a CD for family fun
featuring contributions from well-known area performers including Dave
Nachmanoff, Malcolm Clark and Linda Book. Eleven local songwriters and
storytellers donated their performances to raise funds to ensure that local
seniors receive proper nourishment. Pet Project will feature musicians from
the community, including the new band Mm Mm Good (Meg Alison, Meri Superak,
Ron Goldberg, and Wendy Silk) and singer Martha Teeter. Nicki McCabe,
Executive Director of Yolo Meals on Wheels, will attend. Admission is free.

Puttin on the Dog is available for sale at the I-House concert and also at
Armadillo Records, Watermelon Music, Acorn Veterinary Clinic, and online at
CD Baby.com Proceeds go to the Elderly Nutrition Program in Yolo County
-widely known as Meals on Wheels. Since 1975, this program has provided a
nutritional and social lifeline to seniors through group dining sites located
at senior centers and meals on wheels delivery to homebound seniors
throughout Yolo County. With the help of more than 500 volunteers, this
independent,non-profit, community benefit organization serves 81,000 meals,
in additional to other critical services, each year to our senior neighbors.
