IMPLOSION

IMPLOSION is hosted by Nick Saloman, front person of The Bevis Frond. Born and raised in London, England, Nick started buying records as a small child in the late 1950s and began going to gigs and playing in bands as a teen in the late 60s. IMPLOSION is simply an hour of Nick playing the music that he loves (psychedelia, rock, folk, beat, jazz, soul, punk, and more), with a bit of chat thrown in for good measure. Nick says: "If I like it, then there have got to be a few other people who will too. Let’s hope they’ll be listening!"

Trying to find a song that Nick played on one of his early shows. I think the band was something like Summerville - or had Summer as part of the name. I've searched through most of the playlists but can't locate the band /track he played

...and Love Nick Saloman, of course - delighted to have seen The Bevis Frond live in Los Angeles a few weeks back. These podcasts are great, always entertaining chats, and excellent music listening and education. THANK YOU!

Love this show. Nick never fails to introduce me to tons of fantastic music that I've never heard. What a treasure. And, adding to it is his musical knowledge, which is as vast as his record collection must be. I must admit to having mixed feelings about the psychedelic Muddy Waters albums though. I bought After The Rain. The cover photo was amazing!
