The Yolo Land Trust Spring event – “Bees, Berries & Bouquets”

The Yolo Land Trust announces its spring event – “Bees, Berries & Bouquets” – a Sunday afternoon celebration of the conservation work of the Yolo Land Trust. This fundraiser will be held June 3, 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Butler Farm, located at 28360 County Road 23, Madison. Tickets are $30. Children 6 or older are $10.

Bees, Berries & Bouquets participants will learn about bees, our important pollinators, while enjoying strawberry treats, ice cream, lemonade, Yolo County wines and several varieties of honey. Walking tours of the Butler Farm will also be available.

“We celebrate spring each year by enjoying a Sunday afternoon in the country,” said Michele Clark, Yolo Land Trust Executive Director. “Come see land conservation in action at the Butler Farm.”
Bees, Berries & Bouquets is hosted by Lew and Sheana Butler who placed Butler Farm under a conservation easement with Yolo Land Trust in 2006. “Sheana and I have been supporters of the Yolo Land Trust for many years,” said Lew Butler. “I am delighted to invite the community to our farm to celebrate the good works of the Yolo Land Trust.”

Bees, Berries & Bouquets celebrates the Yolo Land Trust’s 24 years of farmland conservation. The Yolo Land Trust has conserved 52 parcels of farmland for a total of nearly 10,000 acres of farmland, riparian corridors and Swainson’s hawk habitat in Yolo County permanently conserved. These farms remain in private ownership and on Yolo County’s tax rolls.
