US-Australian Dialogue on Carbon Pricing

The Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade and the UC Davis
Policy Institute for Energy, Environment and the Economy cordially invite you
to the “US-Australian Dialogue on Carbon Pricing" on Tuesday, January 15th,
2013 at the UC Davis Conference Centre Davis, CA.
The aim of the Carbon Pricing Dialogue is to explore the development of
regional and global carbon markets, including exploring how Australia and
California can work together.

Implementing Cap and Trade in California and introducing a Carbon Tax in
Australia presents a unique set of challenges and opportunities for policy
makers and businesses. The conference will include key note speakers from the
Australian Government and the Californian Air Resources Board as well as
leading companies including Chevron and San Diego Gas and Electricity.
Additional carbon markets will also be represented with RGGI, Canada and the
European Union speaking about their schemes.

Conference sessions include:
• Australia and California working together
• Building integrated carbon markets
• The effective and efficient spending of carbon revenue
• Clean energy innovation: creating jobs and investment while cutting
pollution
