Jeremy Tai, the talented winner of the Mondavi Center's Young Artists Competition, will play Elgar's moving cello concerto in e minor, which he wrote in the dark days following the end of W.W. I. There is also a sinfonia by Leoncavallo which was included in his opera, I Pagliacci. The Wagnerian overture is from his opera Tannhauser.
