The swinging piano and violin music of the Regal Beezers returns to the Davis soundscape through the end of November 2013:
WEDNESDAY, NOV 27: Regal Beezers at Davis Farmers Market, pre-Thanksgiving market: 12 noon - 6pm, at the shed.
SATURDAY, NOV 30: Regal Beezers at Davis Farmers Market, 9am - 12 noon, on the deck.
The Regal Beezers are: Donna Wren (violin, harp & vocals), Ken Kemmerling (piano, guitar & vocals), Jason Votaw (drums) and David Carey (percussion). Occasional musical guests include: Ephraim George (clarinet), Steve O'Neill (bass) and John Burton (drums). They enjoy playing jazz standards, Beatles, roots rock, folk, and fiddle music.
Donna Wren and Ken Kemmerling were recently honored with a Mathew 25 grant by the Church of St. Martin to support their music at Davis Community Meals, which take place three times weekly at St. Martins Church, 640 Hawthorn Lane. Donna and Ken will be performing ambient music at DCM Thursday dinner, Nov 21, Saturday lunch, Nov 23, and Tuesdaydinner, Nov 25. (Donna will be joined by Bob Wren for Thanksgiving dinner at DCM 2-3pm, Nov 28.)
Davis Community Meals serves dinner at 5:30pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays (2-3pm Thanksgiving Nov 28), and lunch at11:30am on Saturdays. The meals are open to all.
