The Future of Broadcasting: Prometheus Radio Project visits Davis!

The public is invited for an evening chat about the future of broadcasting, community radio, media reform, and media advocacy at the national level with http://prometheusradio.org Prometheus Radio Project founder Pete Tridish and Policy Director Brandy Doyle. Prometheus Radio Project is a media democracy group advocating against media consolidation and for democratic media, including low power radio, since 1998. They successfully sued the FCC in 2004 to stop media consolidation at the time, and have held 11 radio station barnraisings across the country since 2002. Prometheus is increasingly involved in international radio projects, helping to democratize the airwaves worldwide! Come by community media center Davis Media Access, home of DCTV cable channel 15 and KDRT-LP 95.7fm at 7pm for this free event. This is a rare chance to talk with those on the front line of Media Democracy! Tuesday, May 18, 7:00pm. Davis Media Access Studio 1623 Fifth Street Davis, CA 95616
