2012 Yolo County Child Development Conference

City of Davis Child Care Services will host this year’s Yolo County Child Development Conference. Parents, teachers, child care professionals, and others who are interested in child development are invited to attend this day-long event on Saturday, March 24, 2012. The conference will be at the Veterans Memorial Center, 203 E. 14th Street in Davis. Funding for the conference has been provided by the California Department of Education.

This year’s keynote will be Ronald Mah, an educator and licensed marriage and family therapist, has worked in early childhood education for 16 years. A credentialed elementary and secondary teacher, he is the author of Difficult Behavior in Early Childhood and The One-Minute Temper Tantrum Solution. . Workshops will focus on developmental issues, creative activities, parenting, special needs, and many other topics for child care providers and parents. In addition, numerous exhibitors will be at the conference during the day selling their products.
