Floyd Kennedy Sr, Has achieved many awards and accolades for his many talents and
skills. He is not just a drummer he is blessed with many gifts. With his gift of drumming
and music education he has touched many. He has been blessed to share his talent
world wide with Gospel Greats and other Celebrities in the music field. Floyd has not
only trained local drummers but some of the top drummers in the world. About 15 years
ago, a few of Floyd’s successful students got together with him to help promote
upcoming talented musicians. These former students decided to show homage to their
teacher by creating a drum festival. These students invested with a few music
companies and celebrated the First Floyd Kennedy Drum Festival. This festival has
become an annual event for the past 14 years and slated to move forward after the
Covid 19 crises has subsided. We pray that Floyd Kennedy’s legacy will encourages
others to reach for success.
