One Health & Wildlife Talk: The Chicken & the Egg, June 12

David Bunn has been with the Karen C. Drayer Wildlife Health Center since 2003. Much of his work focuses on intervention strategies for improving animal health and production in developing countries, and improving human nutrition in rural communities.

Since 2006, David Bunn has worked on various village poultry health and extension projects in Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda, Ghana and Nepal. He was a co-leader of the Global Livestock CRSP and USAID Flu School Program -- conducting avian flu workshops in eight African countries for health and agriculture ministry professionals. Bunn also co-developed the Poultry Health for Development Program, designing and implementing a specialized training program on improving village poultry production in developing countries.

The One Health Institute works at the interface of animals, people and the environment to solve complex problems that impact health and conservation. The Institute grew out of the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine’s deep commitment to the One Health approach and is home to the well-established Karen C. Drayer Wildlife Health Center.
